Redshirt junior tight end who enters the fall listed on the third team… looks to gain more consistent playing time in 2014… has made one career start.
2013: Sophomore tight end… saw action in seven contests… caught two passes for 13 yards… made his first appearance on the field for the Garnet & Black and earned career start in the season opener against North Carolina after injuries sidelined Rory Anderson and Jerell Adams… caught his first pass in that contest… had an eight-yard reception in the win at UCF… returned to full strength in the spring after suffering a knee injury in the 2012 Garnet & Black Spring Game that sidelined him for the 2012 campaign.
2012: Sat out the season after injuring his knee during the spring game, which required surgery… was not part of the 105 that opened camp… named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll… tabbed the Most Improved Tight End in camp at the 2012 Garnet & Black Spring Game.
2011: Redshirted as a true freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time All-Southwestern 4A tight end who had 25 catches for 524 yards and five touchdowns as a senior, playing for Ardrey Kell and Knights[apos] coach Adam Hastings… graduated from the Charlotte area high school in 2011… logged 14 catches for 221 yards and four touchdowns as a junior in a run-oriented offense… given a three-star rating, the 13th-best prospect in the state of North Carolina and the nation[apos]s 19th-best tight end, according to Rivals.com… rated a three-star prospect and the nation[apos]s 23rd-best tight end by Scout.com… a three-star prospect, according to 247Sports.com… also made visits to Michigan, North Carolina and NC State in addition to numerous other scholarship offers.
