HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Hough High School in Cornelius, N.C. in 2014… attended SouthLake Christian in Huntersville, N.C. previously where he also played basketball… also considered Charlotte, Duke, Elon and Richmond before electing to walk-on at South Carolina.
PERSONAL: Caleb Hines is the son of Clarkston Hines, who played football for Steve Spurrier at Duke… Clarkston was the ACC Offensive Player of the Year and an All-American in 1989 after catching a league-record 17 touchdown passes… he was the 1990 ACC Male Athlete of the Year and a ninth-round selection by the Buffalo Bills in the NFL Draft… he was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010.
