2018
Sophomore defensive back whose season was cut short after suffering a shoulder injury… underwent season-ending surgery… played in eight games including four starts… credited with 32 tackles and an interception… tallied three tackles in each of Carolina’s first three games… made two tackles against Kentucky before missing the second half with an apparent shoulder injury… was in the starting lineup for the first time this season in the win over Missouri and responded with three tackles, 1.0 TFL and his first interception of the year… posted a season-best seven tackles in the Texas A&M game and added seven more stops in the victory over Tennessee… recorded four tackles in the Ole Miss game before suffering a shoulder injury that ended his campaign… did not participate in spring drills after suffering a shoulder injury late in the 2017 season that required surgery… named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman team… played in 11 contests, primarily at nickel, totaling 38 tackles, including 32 solo stops… had a pair of interceptions… was a game-changer in the Missouri win with six tackles and his first INT in his first start… his pick against the Tigers set up Carolina’s go-ahead TD one play later… tallied four tackles against Kentucky and recovered his first fumble… led the team and set a career high with 10 tackles, including 2.0 tackles for loss, against Texas A&M… had three stops including 1.0 TFL against Georgia… made five tackles, including one for loss against Florida, and sealed the game with an interception on the Gators’ final drive… missed the Wofford game due to injury… played against Clemson, but missed the Outback Bowl after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Graduated from Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga., in 2017… played for head coach Jeff Herron… the Rams posted a 14-1 record while earning the Class 7A state title in 2016 after reaching the semifinals in 2015… named first-team all-state… played in the Under Armour All-American Game following his senior season… played in the RisingSeniors.com Georgia Junior Bowl in 2015… Rivals rated him the 13th-best player in the state, the 12th-best “athlete” in the country and No. 159 overall… considered the ninth-best player in the state, the 12th-best cornerback in the country and No. 87 overall by 247Sports… ranked as the fourth-best player in Georgia, the third-best cornerback in the country and the No. 39 player overall by ESPN… rated as the fifth-best “athlete” in the country and No. 86 overall by Scout.
