2010-11 – Competed in the sprint freestyle events…Had top times in 50 free (24.58), 100 free (52.67) and 100 fly (58.13) in Alabama/Georgia meet… 100 free was fifth-best among Gamecocks.

PRE-COLLEGE – Graduated from Bishop Ireton High School…Was team MVP in 2008 and 2009…Won 2008 state title in 100 freestyle…Holds school records in 200 IM, 100 free and 50 free; also part of record-holding teams in 400 MR and 400 FR…Member of Curl Burke club team…Qualified for national team…Won 50 freestyle at Junior Olympics…Named a Scholastic All-American.

PERSONAL – Full name is Alina Mar Hall…Born Sept. 12, 1992, in Salt Lake City, Utah…Parents are Charles and Niza Hall…Has three brothers, Brendan, Drew and Patrick, and a sister, Morgan…Sister was a swimmer for College of Charleston from 2007-09…Plans to major in marine science…Chose South Carolina because of the opportunity to compete in the SEC and because the school has one of the top five marine science programs in the nation.
