Appeared in six meets for the Gamecocks during her first indoor season, running the 800m, 1000m, mile and the 3000m … Scored in a pair of events at the SEC Indoor Championship, including finishing as the bronze medalist in the 800m with a personal best time of 2:02.87 to earn Second Team All-SEC honors … Her 800m time at the SEC Indoor Championship also a set a new program record … Also scored in the 3000m at the SEC Indoor Championship, placing fifth overall with the second fastest indoor 3K in program history with a time of 9:10.76 for a new personal best … Made her indoor debut at the Gamecock Opener, running the 1000m and winning with a program record time of 2:46.04 … Her time in the 1000m also set a new Carolina Indoor Track & Field Facility record … Had a meet to remember in her next home outing at the SC Invite, winning the 800m with a time of 2:05.10 and also winning the 3000m … Her 800m time of 2:05.10 set a new Carolina Indoor Track & Field Facility record … She also won the 800m at the USC Indoor Open, clocking 2:06.37 … Ran a pair of mile events during the indoor season, including registering the second fastest time in program history of 4:34.21 at the David Hemery Valentine Invite to finish 10th overall.

Cross Country
Turned in arguably the best cross country season in Gamecock history … Became the first Gamecock individual to run at the NCAA Cross Country Championship where she clocked a time of 19:41.5 to finish 19th overall and earn the program’s first ever Cross Country All-American honor … Her time of 19:41.5 set a new program record in the 6K, a record she had already broken earlier in the season … She earned her ticket to the NCAA Championship after finishing fourth at the NCAA Southeast Regional when she ran 19:48.9 for the best individual finish at the regional meet in program history … She earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors after finishing fourth at the regional meet … Kosgei earned a spot on both the All-SEC Second Team and the SEC All-Freshman squad after running 20:03.6 at the 2023 SEC Championship, finishing 11th overall … She won her first three collegiate meets, beginning with her collegiate debut when she claimed the Eye Opener in Spartanburg with a then-program record time of 16:52.6 in the 5K … Broke her own school record two weeks later by one whole minute when she ran 15:52.9 at the Gamecock Challenge for her second win in as many meets … Picked up her third consecutive win, this time in her first collegiate 6K event at the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30 when she ran 19:54.9 … Earned three SEC Weekly Honors during her first season, a new program record for SEC weekly recognition by a Gamecock … Also earned the program’s first ever USTFCCCA National Runner of the Week following her performance at the Gamecock Challenge.
