Katie Walls Bio
Katie enters the season as a freshman with personal goals to be a top runner and to run in as many meets as possible. Her impressive high school track and cross country seasons will be a plus for the team this season. She was four-time All-Washington Catholic Area Conference and All-Virginia Independent State League first-team selection. She was twice named Honorable Mention All-Metro by the Washington Post. In track, she was the WCAC Track Champion in the two mile and the VISL Track Champion in the two mile and 800m her senior year. She was three-year captain of her cross country and track teams and anchored the school-record setting 4x800m relay.
Katie was coached by her mother, Cindy, who is an accomplished marathon runner. Katie was a member of the National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society. One of her most memorable moments was meeting her favorite performer, Keith Urban.
She enjoys shopping, running and laying out in the sun. She spent the summer of 2008 visiting Hong Kong and working at a summer camp. She was born to John and Cindy Walls.
