2007-08 (FRESHMAN): A late addition to the Gamecocks[apos] roster, joining the team in mid-January … Began her career in the Garnet & Black winning five of her first six singles matches … The first win of her career came against Stephanie Vieria from Troy at No. 4 singles 6-3, 6-4 … Helped South Carolina avenge a loss to N.C. State the previous year with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Neils Barringer on court five … Hit a rough patch after the win against Barringer, dropping four in a row … Bounced back with a critical win versus Karine Bourdages of Utah by scores of 6-1, 6-2 playing the No. 6 position … Carolina lost the doubles point to the Utes in Salt Lake City but were able to put together four wins in singles to escape with a 4-3 win that snapped a three-match skid … Snagged her first SEC win downing Valeriya Makarycheva from Mississippi State 6-3, 6-2 at six singles … Blanked LSU[apos]s Kylie Adamek 6-0, 6-0 to help the Gamecocks beat a team ranked seven spots higher, as the Tigers were 27th at the time … Recorded one of South Carolina[apos]s two points against Arkansas by defeating Audrey Bordeleau from Arkansas 5-7, 6-4, (10-1) … Bordeleau was 28-8 overall and 15-3 in duals entering the match … Rajic earned SEC Freshman of the Week for her efforts against LSU and Arkansas … Won her most crucial match of the season in the Gamecocks[apos] first-round NCAA Tournament match with VCU in Athens, Ga. … After the team fell behind 3-0, Rajic tied the score after upending Kateryna Malakhova on court six in three sets 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 to set up Gira Schofield[apos]s win at the top position that advanced South Carolina to the second round … Rajic improved steadily in her doubles play throughout the season … Played most of her matches with fellow Serbian Natasa Vuckovic … Rajic and Vuckovic started SEC play with a 3-0 record after wins against Mississippi State, Ole Miss and LSU at No. 3 doubles … The two finished 5-6 playing together and were 4-2 versus conference opponents.
