Krista Richards

Krista Richards

Krista Richards has been a certified athletic trainer for six years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Oregon State University in 2016 and a master’s degree in advanced athletic training from the University of South Carolina in 2018.

Krista has worked in multiple settings as a student and certified athletic trainer. During her undergraduate career, she worked with Oregon State football, basketball, soccer, gymnastics and swimming as well as local high school sports programs. While attending South Carolina, she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for USC equestrian for the first year and at CA Johnson High School and Palmetto Health USC Orthopedic Center (now Prisma Health Orthopedics) during her final year of graduate school.

After completing her master’s degree, Krista worked in the orthopedic clinic setting gaining valuable knowledge, skills, and professional relationships while also providing athletic training services to high school sports in the midlands on an as needed basis.

Krista made the switch back to her alma mater and college sports in 2019 and is now working with the USC swimming and diving teams. She supervises the graduate assistant athletic trainer working with the swimming and diving teams each year and students in the professional masters athletic training program at USC.

She is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Mid America Athletic Trainers Association and South Carolina Athletic Trainers Association.
