COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina senior Courtney Forcucci and freshman Patricia Kranz have been named SEC Athletes of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Forcucci received SEC Female Diver of the Week honors, and Kranz earned SEC Female Freshman of the Week.

Forcucci and Kranz helped lead the Gamecocks to a 191-108 victory over rival Clemson on Saturday in the last-ever meeting between the schools.

Forcucci wins the award for the second time this season and fifth time of her career after sweeping the diving events against the Tigers with NCAA Zone qualifying scores. She claimed first on the one-meter springboard with a career-best score of 322.13, the top score in the SEC this season. Forcucci also won the three-meter springboard with a score of 344.55, the second best mark in the league this year.

Kranz finished second on the three-meter springboard with a career-high score of 334.35, which is the fourth-best score in the conference this season. The Davie, Fla., native finished third on the one-meter board with a career-high score of 287.40. Both marks were NCAA Zone qualifying scores.

The Gamecocks return to action on Friday against Tennessee in their last home meet of the fall. The meet is slated to begin at 2 p.m. at the Blatt P.E. Center/Carolina Natatorium.
