New York, N.Y. – The University of South Carolina women’s tennis team competed in the 2004 USTA Women’s College Tennis Invitational in New York City over the weekend. The Gamecocks had a successful weekend as six of the seven athletes took at least two of their three matches on the weekend.

In doubles, Christyn Lucas and Magda Wojdylo took two of their three matches in the “A” Doubles draw. Laura Ganzer and Megan McGavock took also took two of their three matches in the “B” Doubles draw. McGavock, also continued her play in singles as she won three of four matches and made it all the way to the semifinals of the “D” singles draw.

McGavock, Christyn Lucas, Miranda Gutierrez, and Fallon Koon all won their opening round matches to continue through the main draw. The Gamecocks combined for a total of 15 wins in 24 total single matches.

Listed below are results for all Carolina tennis players who competed at the 2004 USTA Women’s College Tennis Invitational in New York City. The Gamecocks will return to action when they host the Southern Intercollegiate Tournament on October 29.
