The South Carolina Athletic Department has noticed a number of single-game and season tickets for sale at premium prices on the internet. According to South Carolina state law, tickets can only be sold for one dollar over face value. The term of use for tickets is printed on the back of each ticket, which states the following:

TERMS OF USE

This ticket is a revocable license, subject to termination with denial of admission at University’s discretion upon refund of purchase price, and without refund if the holder violates the rules of conduct deemed appropriate by University. This ticket may be used by purchaser only, and may not be resold at a premium. Lost, stolen or counterfeit tickets or those offered for resale at an unlawful premium, may not be honored. Every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter facility. Holder may not bring alcoholic beverages, food, illegal drugs, weapons, pets, umbrellas, strollers, coolers, back-packs, thermoses, laser pointers, irritants (e.g. artificial noisemakers), video cameras, recording devices, or strobe lights onto the premises. No smoking in seating areas, lounges, and enclosed concourses. No pass outs. Holder may be ejected from the event for intoxication, drug use, or abusive language or any other conduct that is not conducive to a family atmosphere. Holder shall not transmit or aid in transmitting any description, account, picture, video, audio or other form of reproduction of the event. Holder expressly grants the University and its licensees to use Holder’s image or likeness in connection with any live or recorded transmission or reproduction of such event without further authorization or compensation. This ticket may not be used for any form of commercial or trade purposes, including but not limited to advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes, without the express written consent of University. The holder of this ticket voluntarily assumes all risk and danger of personal injury (including death) and all hazards arising from, or related in any way to, the event, whether occurring prior to, during or after the event, howsoever caused and whether by negligence or otherwise. Holder understands that dates and times of events are subject to change without notice. Use of this ticket constitutes acceptance of these terms.
