Columbia, S.C. –
The Toyota Gamecock Village will be open from 3:00 until 6:30 pm before the home game against Troy University this Saturday. Located in the Grandstand at the Fairgrounds, the Village is free and open to the public. Game time is 7:00pm.

The Gamecock Village will feature a number of special events this week:

-Former Gamecock football players Brad Edwards and Stanley Pritchett will be appearing to sign autographs from approximately 4:30-5:30 pm. Edwards played defensive back for the Gamecocks from 1984-87 and played nine years in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl with the Washington Redskins. His Carolina career included 130 tackes and eight interceptions as a senior in 1987. Pritchett played running back for the Gamecocks from 1992-95 and also enjoyed a nine-year career in the NFL. During his senior season as a Gamecock, Pritchett scored four touchdowns in one game against Mississippi State.

-The USC Marching Band and cheerleaders will perform at 5:00 pm inside the Gamecock Village.

-The Dasani Cool Zone Misting Pavilion will feature two large inflatable Dasani bottles that spray a cold mist to keep Gamecock fans cool on a hot game day.

-The Colonial Kids Corner features three large inflatable games for kids.

-Snoopy will make a special appearance at 5:15pm to promote the new “Good Grief!” Peanuts exhibit at Edventure Children’s Museum.

-Jewelry Warehouse will have Carolina gear available for purchase and will feature a special gift promotion where four lucky fans will win half-carat diamonds.
