The University of South Carolina 2007 football season has officially come to an end today, as the Gamecocks learned they would not be invited to a bowl game following a 6-6 season.

“We’re disappointed we did not get to a bowl game,” said Head Coach Steve Spurrier. “We had five games to win number seven, but didn’t get it done. We have no one to blame but ourselves.”

The Gamecocks had 21 seniors on this year’s squad who played their final game in the Garnet & Black, including starters William Brown, Andy Boyd, Blake Mitchell, Cory Boyd, Lanard Stafford and Casper Brinkley.
