The South Carolina football squad finished the 2010 season ranked 22nd in the country in both the final Associated Press and USA TODAY/ESPN Coaches polls, it was announced today.

The Gamecocks finished the season with a 9-5 record and captured their first SEC Eastern Division title. They finished in the nation’s top-25 for the first time since the 2001 season. South Carolina was one of six Southeastern Conference schools to earn a spot in the final rankings, joining national champion Auburn, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi State.
