COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina senior diver Courtney Forcucci has been named the SEC Female Diver of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Forcucci, who wins the award for the fourth time this season, swept the boards to help lead the Gamecocks to victories over East Carolina and Vanderbilt last weekend. The Fort Mill, S.C., native placed first on the one-meter springboard with a score of 308.63, which was 44.78 points ahead of ECU’s top finisher. She also claimed first in the three-meter competition with a score of 351.38, which was 56.86 points ahead of the nearest ECU competitor. Forcucci has recorded first-place finishes in all but two events in dual meets for South Carolina this season.

Forcucci and the Gamecocks will now begin preparations for the SEC Championships, which will be held Feb. 15-18 in Knoxville, Tenn.
