COLUMBIA, S.C. – Kevin Leithold, Akram Mahmoud, Tomas Peribonio and Nils Wich-Glasen have been invited to the 2015 NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, the NCAA announced Wednesday with the release of the official psych sheet. The championships will be held March 26-28 at the University of Iowa at Campus Recreation & Wellness Center (CRWC) in Iowa City, Iowa.

The Gamecocks will now have six representatives at the Championships as divers Jordan Gotro and Cole Miller qualified earlier this week.

Peribonio and Mahmoud both officially qualified for the Championships in the 500 and 1,650 freestyle events. The duo both quailed for an additional event, Peribonio the 400 IM and Mahmoud the 200 butterfly. Peribonio is the 10th overall seed in the 1,650 freestyle; his time of 14:50.25 is the school record. He also owns the second-fastest times in school history in the 500 freestyle and 400 IM. Mahmoud holds the school record in the 500 freestyle (4:15.11) and his times in the 1,650 freestyle and 200 butterfly both rank in the top five.

Leithold’s school-record time of 52.97 in the 100 breaststroke qualified him for the Championships. He will also race in the 200 IM and 100 freestyle, both events in which he owns the third-fastest time in school history.

Wich-Glasen is the seventh overall seed in the 200 breaststroke with his school-record time of 1:52.81. He also has qualifying times in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM, he ranks second in school history in both events.

The Gamecocks’ 800 freestyle relay team (6:21.05) also qualified for the Championships.
