20 Gamecocks Named to CSCAA Scholar All-American Team
COLUMBIA, S.C.- South Carolina was well represented on the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American team with 20 Gamecocks honored.
In order to be recognized, a student-athlete must achieve a GPA of 3.50 or higher and have competed at their respected NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Student-Athletes listed as Honorable Mention (HM) achieved a 3.50 GPA or higher and achieved a “B” time standard or competed at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier.

This is the fourth straight year the Gamecocks have had 20 or more student-athletes recognized by the CSCAA. Barksdale, DelGado, Lujan and Bekemeyer are all four-time honorees.
The men’s swimming & diving team ended the spring semester with a team-record GPA of 3.533 while the women’s team continued their excellence in the classroom with a GPA of 3.651
