Sophomore safety who figures to be a special teams contributor again in 2014 while adding depth in the deep secondary.
2013: Joined the squad as a walk-on in the spring… saw action in four games, all on special teams.
2012: Enrolled at Carolina in August, but did not compete on the gridiron.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Lassister High School in Marietta, Ga. in 2012… the Trojans went 10-4 during his senior season… logged 48 tackles and five interceptions as a safety… also played lacrosse, helping his squad to the state title game.
PERSONAL: Garrett Shank was born October 18, 1993… is a business administration major.
