Third-year player who can play either the Spur, strong or free safety positions… provides depth in the secondary and contributes on special teams.
2009: Redshirt freshman who played in nine games primarily on special teams… credited with five tackles including three against South Carolina State… made his collegiate debut at NC State in the season opener… suffered a torn ligament in his finger during the Tennessee game and missed the remainder of the regular season… returned for the bowl game against UConn.
2008: Redshirted during his true freshman season at South Carolina.
HIGH SCHOOL: All-city and all-region selection during his prep career at Lee High School in Hunstville, Ala., graduating in 2008… played quarterback in high school… three-star athlete… comes from the same high school that produced former Gamecock Darian Stewart and former assistant coach Ron Cooper… also a standout on the basketball court.
