Kelvin Hunter Bio
Defensive back who is in his second year with the Carolina football program… looks for a solid spring to propel him into a regular role in the fall after redshirting in his first campaign.
2024 (Freshman)
True freshman who joined the team in January and went through spring drills… appeared in three contests… saw action against Kentucky, Akron and Wofford… credited with six tackles including five solo stops and a tackle for loss… had two solo stops including a TFL against Kentucky, one tackle against Akron and a season-best three tackles versus Wofford… redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played safety and running back for West Florence (S.C.) High School, graduating in December 2023… the Knights posted a 5-6 record in his senior season after going 11-2 and advancing to the Class 4A Lower State finals during his junior campaign… logged 86 tackles with 18 tackles for loss, 3 sacks and five forced fumbles on defense… carried the ball 57 times for 332 yards and five touchdowns on offense as a senior… named to the Class 4A All-State team by the high school coaches in 2023… selected to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas… coached by Jody Jenerette.
