Fifth-year senior lineman who made the conversion from the defensive line to offensive guard during the spring of 2011… enters the spring as the second-team left guard.
2011: Reserve offensive lineman… did not see any game action
2010: Played in seven games… earned significant snaps vs. Southern Miss; had career-high two tackles… also had two tackles vs. Arkansas, including first career tackle for loss.
2009: Saw action in four games, playing against Georgia, FAU, Arkansas and Florida as a redshirt freshman… had one tackle versus Georgia.
2008: Redshirted as a true freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: First-team all-state honoree by The State during his senior season at Newberry (S.C.) High School… graduated in 2008… played for Coach Sam Baird… played in the 71st-annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas and in the Max Emfinger All-American Bowl… named to the All-Atlantic Region team by PrepStar magazine… helped his team to the Class 2A state championship game as a junior… Rivals.com ranked him as the #38 defensive tackle in the 2008 signing class and the 14th-best prospect in the state of South Carolina… Scout.com ranked him as the 40th-best defensive tackle in the land… given a three-star rating… chose South Carolina over Stanford, Virginia Tech, Clemson and North Carolina.
