  • Led the Gamecocks in the middle distance events and earned his first trip as an individual to the NCAA Championships
  • Earned All-America honors in the 800 freestyle relay as the team finished 12th (6:21.98) at the NCAA Championships
  • Finished 22nd in the in the 500 freestyle at NCAA’s with a time of 4:18.25 … Also placed 35th in the 200 free (1:36.41) and 42nd in the 100 free (45.11)
  • Finished fifth in the 500 freestyle at the SEC Championships with a new PR of 4:17.41 … The time was the 24th fastest in the nation prior to NCAAs
  • Qualified for the finals after finishing the prelims in seventh at 4:18.60
  • Also scored points at the conference meet in the 200 freestyle at the SEC Championships with a new PR of 1:35.71
  • Swam on Carolina’s 400 and 800 freestyle and 400 medley relay teams at the SEC Championships which broke the previous school records

  • One of the Gamecocks’ top freshmen
  • Provided a spark to the distance group, winning one individual race and finishing runner-up on six occasions in the 500 freestyle, 1,000 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle
  • Swam the third leg of the 800 freestyle relay at the NCAA Championships to help the Gamecocks finish 15th to earn All-America honors
  • Ranked in the top five times on the team in the 200 freestyle (third, 1:37.69), 500 freestyle (second, 4:20.71), 1,000 freestyle (first, 9:21.21) and 1,650 freestyle (first, 15:19.58)
  • Made the finals in three events at the SEC Championships
  • Finished 12th in the 500 freestyle with B cut of 4:20.71, which is the third fastest time in school history…Placed 16th in the 1,650 freestyle with a B cut of 15:19.58, the third fastest all-time at South Carolina
  • Also scored points in the 200 freestyle with a 21st-place finish in 1:37.70
  • Swam the third leg of the 800 freestyle relay to help set a school record time of 6:23.99 at the SEC Championships
