University of South Carolina divers made a strong showing at the 2003 Speedo National Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. Andy Bradley, Holly Hodges, Allison Brennan, and Lauren King all competed in events at the Championships last week.

Junior Andy Bradley placed second in the men’s one-meter final on Friday. Bradley’s 398.52 points was only four points short of the first place finisher. Bradley also competed in the three meter competition where he placed fifth. Bradley’s finishes has placed him on the 2003 US National Team and qualified him to compete in the World University Game.

In the women’s three-meter semi-final on Thursday, Allison Brennan placed seventh while Lauren King placed 14th out of 30 overall divers. In the final, Brennan placed fourth in the three-meter while she placed eighth in the one meter. On Friday, the two combined for 206.82 points to finish sixth in the women’s synchronized three-meter final. Brennan’s performance joined her on the 2003 US National Team and qualified her as well for the World University Game in Daegu, Korea from August 21-31.

USC will also be represented at the 2003 World Championships by divers Tracey Richardson and Dean Emmerton in Barcelona, Spain from July 13-19.
