COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina head diving coach Todd Sherritt announced the signing of diver Taryn Zack for the 2007-08 roster. Zack is a four-time Junior Canadian National Champion and hails from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

“Taryn will add tremendous talent to our program,” said Sherritt. “She has national and international experience that will give her an edge in collegiate diving. I am looking for Taryn to be a contender for the SEC and NCAA championships.”

A senior at Vimy Ridge Academy, Zack was a double Gold medalist at the 2005 Canada Games, and a member of the 2002 Canadian Junior World Team. She was also a member of the 2005 Canadian Junior Pan American Team. She competed in the Canada Cup, Spanish, Russian and Italian Grand Prix from 2004-2006. Her best finish was 11th.

The addition of Zack gives the Gamecock women’s team a total of six signees for the early period. While at South Carolina, Zack plans to pursue a degree in biological sciences.
