Columbia, S.C. – USA Diving announced Friday that Allison Brennan, a South Carolina diver from 2001-2006, will represent the USA at the FINA World Championships being held in Melbourne, Australia March 18-April 1.

The diving portion of the event will take place March 19-26. Brennan, a Huntington Beach, California native, will compete on the one-meter board for team USA. She was named the 2004 NCAA one-meter champion, claiming South Carolina’s first ever, individual national championship. Brennan was also a four-time All American during her time at USC, claiming both the one- and three-meter events at the SEC championships in 2006.

Since completing her collegiate career Brennan has continued to have success on the national scene. In 2006 she won the three-meter event at the US Nationals and also placed seventh at the 2006 FINA Diving World Cup held in Changshu, China. Brennan’s next goal is to make Team USA for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
