COLUMBIA, S.C. – Rising senior Lauren Lamendola, rising sophomore Marissa Roth and rising junior Jordan Gotro all qualified for the 2015 USA Diving AT&T National Championships after competing at the USA Diving National Preliminary Zone A Championships this past weekend. The National Championships begin August 1 with the senior portion of the meet set to run August 11-13 in Orlando, Fla.

Lamendola finished fifth on the 1-meter springboard with a score of 220.65 to earn her spot at Nationals. She placed third in the preliminary (238.20) to advanced to finals.

Roth will compete on the 3-meter springboard in August as she finished third overall with a score of 257.05. She scored 242.25 points for a fourth-place finish in the preliminary.

“This was nothing less than incredible for Marissa (Roth),” said head diving coach Todd Sherritt. Coming from where she started this past season and making the National Championships is a reflection on how hard she works.”

Gotro secured his place at Nationals with a third-place finish on the 1-meter springboard (348.00) after coming in ninth in the preliminary (264.50).

“Everyone did a great job,” said Sherritt. “We did not have a lot of time to train for this meet so I am extremely happy with the results.”

Gotro and Lamendola will both be making their second trip to the National Championships as the duo competed in 2014 and 2013, respectively, while Roth will be making her first appearance.
