Boesel Posts Another Multi Hit Performance

Carolina falls to Missouri

COLUMBIA, S.C. —- South Carolina brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the seventh with one out but ultimately fell 7-3 on Friday night to No. 17 Missouri at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. Jordan Fabian’s two-RBI double followed by Cayla Drotar’s RBI single in the bottom of the fifth looked like the momentum builders needed to carry the Gamecocks to victory, but the Tigers held on to earn the series win.

Six Gamecocks produced hits on the night (Kenzi Maguire, Mackenzie Boesel, Fabian, Drotar, Kassidy Krupit and Riley Blampied). Boesel posted a 2-for-4 night with a run scored while Fabian finished 1-for-2 with a run and two RBI. Drotar produced a 1-for-3 night with an RBI and a walk.

Kelsey Oh (2-6) took the loss in the circle in 3.2 innings of work.
