Knoxville, Tenn. – South Carolina’s divers completed the second day of competition at the NCAA Zone B Championships in Knoxville, Tenn., on Monday. Graduate Brooke Schultz and sophomore Sophie Verzyl both punched their tickets to the NCAA Championships with their placements on the 1-meter springboard.

In the women’s 1-meter event, Schultz and Verzyl both earned a spot in the finals after having placed second and fourth in the prelims respectively. Both Gamecocks retained their spots in the final round with Schultz finishing with a final 12-dive score of 645.85 and Verzyl a score of 608.95.
