Gamecocks Travel to Gainesville to Face No. 2/3 Gators

Gainesville, Fla. – South Carolina swimming will kick off the spring portion of its schedule with a trip to Gainesville to face SEC foe Florida on Friday. The swim-only dual will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the O’Connell Center Natatorium.

Admission to the meet is free and parking will be available on the second and third floors of the O’Connell Center garage. Fans can use Gate 2 as the entrance to the meet with doors opening at 10:00 a.m.

The meet marks South Carolina’s first dual event since Nov. 3 where the women tied with then-No. 16 North Carolina and the men fell 139-161.

The Gamecock women are 3-1-1 this season in dual meets and placed first at the Gamecock Invitational out of a field of eight teams. In the December edition of the CSCAA Division I Top 25 Poll, South Carolina’s women are ranked No. 21 while Florida’s women are No. 3.

South Carolina’s men are in search of their first dual win of the season and will take on the second-ranked Gator men who are 5-0 this season. The Gamecocks’ most recent appearance was at the Gamecock Invitational in which they placed second out of five teams.

In the all-time series, Florida’s women are a perfect 19-0 while their men lead the series 22-2.

The meet will be available for fans to stream on SEC Network+ and live results will be available in the subscription based MeetMobile app.
