Softball to Play 12 Games on Television
Countdown to Opening Day
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The University of South Carolina softball team will have 12 games televised on the ESPN Family of Networks, while 36 other games will be broadcast on ESPN’s digital platforms it was announced Wednesday (Jan. 31).
Seven of Carolina’s eight SEC weekend series will have at least one game shown on the SEC Network.
The Gamecocks kicks off SEC play with their Sunday finale (Mar. 10) at Texas A&M broadcast on the SEC Network at 2 p.m. South Carolina goes on the road March 20 for the first game of the SC Education Lottery Palmetto Series which will be broadcast on the ACC Network at 6 p.m.
That weekend, the Gamecocks take on defending SEC Champion Tennessee, with the finale two games on the SEC Network. Sunday’s matchup (Mar. 24) will be at 6 p.m., while Monday’s finale (Mar. 25) will be at 7 p.m.
The following weekend Carolina goes on the road to face Ole Miss, with Sunday’s series finale (Mar. 31) on the SEC Network at noon. South Carolina returns home to face Mississippi State with its game on March 10 being on the SEC Network at 2 p.m.
The finale matchup of the Palmetto Series will be in Columbia on April 9 and broadcast on ESPNU at 7 p.m.
During its SEC homestand that weekend, two of South Carolina’s games against Arkansas will be on the SEC Network, April 12 at 6 p.m. and April 13 at 11:30 a.m. The Gamecocks will see a similar broadcast schedule the following weekend at Florida, with the April 20 (noon) and April 21 (11:30 a.m.) games both being on the SEC Network.
The final series of the season will see the Gamecocks take on Missouri May 4 at 6 p.m. on the SEC Network.
Every home game at the Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field and all SEC contests not televised will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. The Gamecocks will have one other non-SEC road game broadcast on ESPN+, March 1 at UCF. The schedule kicks off at home on February 9 at 4 p.m. against Jacksonville State.
